A record that turned Alanis Morisette into a mid 1990s phenomenon. With its solid production and pop-grunge sounds, this was clearly an attempt to embrace the "women in rock" attitude in alternative rock. Still Alanis showcased genuine intentions and individuality resulting in an album that was surprisingly effective, an utterly fascinating exploration of a young woman's psyche and was consequently warmly embraced by millions of fans.
