The sound is laid-back, southern-fried groove informed by rural blues with African percussion, funk, and melodic R&B in the mix. Production is solid, performances are tight, the message is beautiful and the groove flows. This is a joyful hip hop album spouting peace, spirituality, and Afro-centric positivity and it feels even more unique today than when it came out. Honestly an album everyone should hear.
