The follow up to Bjork's first album “Debut” is grounded in electronic music but pulls from many genres, revealing Björk's passions and influences. The music is lively, eclectic and expansive. The lyrics are personal, introspective and sensual. Musically diverse without being exhausting and superbly produced by Nellee Hooper, Tricky and Howie B amongst others, it maybe stands as Bjork's best record.
