A slightly darker affair this album recycles some of the themes of its groundbreaking predecessor but still sounds vital and lively. Mixing the "bourgeoisie" early nineties sound of trip hop and fat, retro sounding grooves found in cafes and college radio playlists with cartoonish rhymes about narcotics, gang references and thug life it was one of the major successes of the west coast rap scene.
